 Hi I am Elangovan. After compleating my CRRI , I started my private prctice in March 1979 at Arcot, on the other side of Palar river, 4 km from my Ranipet residence. Its a op-clinic type. I got married to Sheela in march 1981. We have two daughters. Jayanthi born in 1982 and Gayathri in 1986.

 Currently consultant vijaya group of hospitals. Retired from govt . former Director and HoD in Ent.madras medical college. Married 33 years. Had CABG 2008

My Husband is a GP. When we worked in UK, he did surgical and orthopaedic rotations.

My daughter is an Equity Research Analyst. She is a certified FRM (GARP, USA) and is pursuing the CFA program (USA), after completing an MBA specializing in Finance, from Delhi and completing her under-graduation as a BE – ECE from Chennai.

 I have around 30 years of experience in Govt. Service; worked for 16 years as Assistant Professor of Paediatrics in KMCH, Chennai and then as Assistant Professor of Medical Genetics for around 6 years and later promoted as Professor & H.O.D. Medical Genetics, till retirement on superannuation. At present, practising as Paediatrician on my own and as Consultant with a few hospitals in Chennai.

Husband - AV Jayasankar Retired as Deputy General Manager, India Cements Capital Fin. My husband is active in the financial line with keen interest in shares and mutual funds.

Son - J.V.Deepak, currently working as Manager, Samsung R&D Institute, Bangalore. My son is a Gold Medalist in Engineering from College of Engineering, Guindy, Chennai and pursued his M.B.A. from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore after which he is pursuing a career in Software Product Management. He is also a Carnatic Vocalist and a Graded Artiste with the All India Radio and has given many public concerts.

 Lecturer - Royal College of Medicine Perak,Ipoh. Advisor to a few NGOs & Temples. Conduct Health talks on Ophthalmology and General Health to Public and School children in collaboration with the Ministries of Health & Education. Conduct Eye camps for Public in the Interiors two months

Wife Kalavalli  BSc Graduate, who conducts Human Value classes for school children under the Sri Sathya Sai Baba Organization.

Retried Director Institute of Anesthesiology and intensive care, RGGGH Presently - Freelance Consultant Anesthesiologist

Two Daughters - Both Married in 2011. Elder - Dr. Aishwarya Lakshmi - Married to Dr.Nagulan Younger - Dr. Thara Mrithula - Married to Dr. Ajai Sundar

GD- Adthi Nagulan - 3 months old

 Joined as Medical Officer in Schieffelin Leprosy Research & Training centre, Karigiri. Became senior Medical Officer and Associate Epidemiologist. Involved in clinical leprosy, training to various cadres from Paramedical worker to district and state leprosy programme managers. My wife

Valar is also my batchmate from MMC. She was in Government service. Became Administrative officer when Vellore Medical College was started. She was RMO in Rajiv Gandhi Hospital (MMC Hospital) Chennai. Now happy retired life. 

Son: Arun, Master in Computer Applications. Working in Chennai. DIL: Helen Mabel, MSc Physiotherapy (London). Private clinic in Chennai Daughter: Aruna, BDS. Trained in Medical Encription. MBA (HR). Home maker for the time being. SIL: Sathishkumar, DTCD, MD (Anaes). working in Venkateswara Medical College, Pondy. 

My GDs Samara is in chennai Nidhie and Samyuktha are in Pondy
